About the Author

Joy has been driven to write a best-selling book for decades, and now here she is, ready to tempt you into her deliciously sentimental, historically interesting, and snarky commentary through the culinary lens of dead famous folks who helped shape our contemporary world.

She calls Nebraska home and graduated from the University of Nebraska way back in the 1980s. She was later magically transported to Cincinnati, Ohio, and earned her M.Ed. from Xavier University in the '90s. Along the way, she was blessed with a son, Christian, and met the love of her life, David.

She loves to collect antiques, stare at the Rockies in Colorado, enjoy white sandy beaches in the panhandle of Florida, and relish every minute with family and friends. She is grateful to her editor, Lindsey Nelson, for being so smart and patient.
